About me_edited.jpg

Amanda Brooks is a nature painter living in both Devon and Sardinia whose work is shaped by the landscapes, seascapes, wildlife and art she discovers on her travels.

She works in various mediums but currently focuses on using egg tempera and natural pigments influenced by the centuries old paintings and frescoes of Italian artists such as Giotto and Piero della Francesca. These soft, gently eroded works and colours are interpreted in a contemporary style celebrating the beauty and fragility of our connection to the natural world.

Amanda has had work in group and joint art shows in West Country galleries and venues and has sold paintings from New Zealand to Argentina. Currently based in Sardinia she is working on a body of work which she plans to extend to frescoes.
